Renovations in Dénia
What we renovate in Dénia
Apartments in Las Marinas and Las Rotas
Holiday homes from the 70s to 90s with small bathrooms, a bathtub, iron pipes and damp. They are renovated to use them more of the year or to let them out.
Flats in the centre and by the port
Homes lived in all year round. Full renovations or in stages: kitchen opened up to the living room, new bathroom, floors and services.
Houses and villas on the Montgó and in the Marquesat
Larger renovations: several bathrooms, kitchen, terraces that leak, plasterboard and air conditioning.
Renovating in Dénia: what we usually find
A good part of Dénia's housing was built between the 70s and 90s, when the town grew out towards Las Marinas and Las Rotas. Many apartments still have the original bathroom: bathtub, tiles to half height, iron or lead pipes and a drain that no longer clears properly. On top of that comes the damp from the sea, which on ground floors and east-facing elevations ends up as stains and peeling paint.
In the centre and around the port there are more permanent homes: flats belonging to families who want to open the kitchen up to the living room, replace terrazzo floors or renew an electrical installation that cannot cope with today's appliances.
In the houses on the Montgó and in the Marquesat the work is usually more extensive: several bathrooms, kitchen, terrace waterproofing and, increasingly, air conditioning and underfloor heating.
What we are asked for most in Dénia
- Bathroom renovations: swapping the bathtub for a shower tray, renewing all the plumbing and waterproofing before tiling. It is the job we do most here.
- Kitchen renovations: new layout, new lighting and water points, tiling, flooring and fitting of units and worktop.
- Full apartment renovations to let out or to spend more months of the year in Dénia.
- Terrace waterproofing and interior painting after damp problems have been resolved.
How we do it here
Before starting we protect the lift and communal areas, which in the communities of Las Marinas are a frequent source of disputes. We arrange the skip and, if the job requires it, the responsible declaration or licence with Dénia Town Hall. If you do not live at the property, we send you photos and videos of progress and no decision on materials is finalised without you.

Frequently asked questions about renovating in Dénia
How long does it take you to come and see a property in Dénia?
Usually a few days. Dénia is where we do most of our work and the first visit is free and without obligation.
My apartment is in Las Marinas and I only come in summer. Can you do the work while I am away?
Yes. It is common. We agree access, send you photos and videos of progress and go through the finished work with you, in person or by video call.
Do you arrange the skip and permits in Dénia?
When the job needs them, yes: skip, permit for occupying the public road, and the responsible declaration or licence depending on the scope of the renovation. We go through it with you in the quotation.
Do you work in communities with restricted hours for building work?
Yes. We adapt to the community's hours, protect the lift and communal areas and let the neighbours know when there is noisy work such as demolition.
