A house that opens onto the garden
The villa had large openings but old frames: slim profiles, single glazing and sliding doors that no longer closed properly. The aim was to replace all the external frames with thermally broken aluminium and large-format glazing, enclose the porch and terrace with glazed enclosures and divide some interior rooms with glass partitions, without losing any light.
The windows and enclosures come from our trusted aluminium fabricator, who we work with regularly and who allows us to keep prices very competitive. We measure every opening, coordinate the fabrication and take care of the entire installation.
Installing large-format glass
Each pane weighs hundreds of kilos, so the installation is planned like a small building job: a crane to unload the A-frames, a spider mini crane in the garden to lift the windows to the first floor, and electric and manual suction lifters to offer each pane into its frame. The frames are fixed and levelled beforehand; the glass is settled onto packers, wedged and sealed with neutral-cure silicone inside and out.
Inside, the black-profile glass partitions and the enclosure with pivot doors and a timber frame separate rooms without cutting off the light or the views.
Metalwork: the entrance gate
As part of the project's metalwork we installed the automatic aluminium sliding gate at the entrance to the plot: buried track, motor, photocells and remote control, in the same grey as the house's window frames. Yuriy coordinated the complete installation with the fabricator and the fitting team.

Unloading and handling the glass
The large-format glass panes arrive on an A-frame and are unloaded by crane. Each piece weighs hundreds of kilos: it is moved with suction lifters and a mini crane, never by hand.

Mini crane at the facade
For the first-floor windows we set up a spider mini crane in the garden and lifted each pane up to its opening.

Offering the pane into the opening
Using the electric suction lifter we offered the glass into the frame, already levelled and fixed, and settled it onto the packers.

We repeated the operation at every first-floor opening, with the team inside receiving the glass and adjusting the glazing.

Fitting with suction lifters from inside
The interior fixed panes and glass partitions are fitted from inside with manual suction lifters and sealed with neutral-cure silicone.

Fitting the sliding porch enclosure: tracks, panels and adjusting the rollers so they glide with one finger.
